Lodging among trees and hummingbirds
At only 15 minutes from the airport, Taki Tambo Lodge is located on the immediate surroundings of the city of Tarapoto.
At the foot of the mountains of the Cordillera Escalera reserve, on the edge of the Shilcayo River, the lodge allows you to enjoy the landscapes of the high jungle of the Amazon.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable, distributed in several bungalows, each with a terrace, hammock and garden view.

Shaded by tall trees and under the cover of luxuriant vegetation, the garden of Taki Tambo Lodge is a place to relax and refresh under the tropical sun.
The medicinal and aromatic plants with their flowers delight numerous species of hummingbirds and attract a great variety of birds and local fauna (butterflies, frogs, etc.).
A place dedicated to healing
Taki Tambo Lodge is a place of calm and tranquility, very suitable for therapeutic processes with traditional Amazonian medicines, such as those proposed by the Takiwasi Center.
For this reason, priority is given to the tranquility and energetic care of the guests. To this end, it is necessary to follow some rules, thanks to which guests will feel comfortable and in the best conditions for their stay.
Shared kitchen and dining area
Under a mango tree, Taki Tambo Lodge offers its guests a large kitchen fully equipped for convivial sharing, with large solid wood tables and all the necessary utensils to prepare meals.
Breakfast is included and served here daily between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. and offers tasty local fruits in a balanced and healthy buffet: papayas, mangos, avocados, etc., accompanied by local coffee and typical dishes.
The round salon
Designed with large arches overlooking the garden, a rotunda houses a lounge and several comfortable armchairs to enjoy the view of the mountains and relax in the garden.
For those who wish to surf, work or communicate easily with friends and family, high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout, including the bedrooms, terraces, living room and garden.
Our reception at your service
From the reception (open 24/7), the staff at Taki Tambo Lodge will make sure your stay is as pleasant as possible, and will respond to your requests, for example with our luggage storage and laundry service, or by advising you on activities and places of interest not to be missed in Tarapoto.
Located inside Takiwasi
The Taki Tambo Lodge is located on the grounds of the Takiwasi Centre, which has 2 hectares for its therapeutic vocation and other activities.
In other words, it is an ideal place for those who come to Takiwasi for whatever reason. This proximity facilitates participation in the Centre's activities and access to various centres of interest, such as the boutique, the library and the chapel.

Our rules of good living
Taki Tambo Lodge is different from any other hotel or lodge. It takes into account that most of its guests come for reasons related to a personal healing process. In order to guarantee an adequate attention and a favorable context for therapy, special care is given to tranquility, silence and energetic aspects.
To this end, certain limitations have been established, which must be respected by all guests.
It is not allowed inside the Taki Tambo Lodge:
Television, radio, and sound system
Consumption of alcoholic beverages
Drug use, including marijuana
Use of industrial tobacco or flavoured pipe tobacco
Entry of outsiders or persons not registered at the reception desk
Use of perfumes or industrial or toilet products with a strong odour (see ad hoc products in the boutique).
Each guest is invited to maintain a peaceful environment by controlling excessive noise emission (loud conversations, playing loud music, loud ringing of mobile phones, etc.) and respecting the privacy of other guests. This ensures that each guest enjoys his or her space and time without being disturbed by noise or energy interference.
